He always greets me with a high-powered enthusiastic smile. His nickname is “Sun-chan.” “Sun” is the literal translation of his name, Taiyo. He’s an all-around natural athlete. In fact, he’s the ace of the baseball team and rocks a buzz-cut that totally fits the image. On the other hand, he has middling grades, but his friendly, energetic personality more than makes up for that. He also goes all in with whatever he’s doing and gets especially fired up when it comes to competitions, although on the flip side, he’s a poor loser. Our personalities are total opposites, even though we get along well, oddly enough. Sun-chan has been my best friend since middle school.
Good at sports, not so much with academics. The ace of the baseball team, which is no surprise since he’s been eating, breathing and sleeping baseball ever since he was a kid. He’s also my best friend. His nickname is “Sun-chan” because “Sun” is the literal translation of his name, Taiyo. But it also suits him.
